I am fascinated by the Kew gardens Millennium Seed Bank that hides an underground collection of over 2.4 billion seeds from around the world, banking them to conserve them for the future. In this design I have imagined a new seed modelled in precious metal clay using the imprint of bark to give a unique texture to the seed case inside this cocoon shape sits multiple silver grain seeds. once fired the clay organic binder burns away to reveal the pure 999 fine silver form. They have been oxidised to create a greater contrast of the pattern and form on these curious imagined seed pods. Dangled from a hinged 20mm silver tube hoops.
