The earth from above a slice of green land meeting blue sea in this silver rectangular stud earring. Using fine enamelled glass granules I was reflecting on the delicate ecological balance between water rising and habitats disappearing for wild life. From above we can see clearly the climate change is changing our landscapes. Irrevocably. Forming a narrative through materials the silver slice is a reminder of the preciousness of nature and our responsibility for its protection.

These make an earring statement with a vibrant colour graduation from lush variations from a bold green through to a teal blue. They are long 40mm by 7mm but not too heavy as the sterling silver sheet is just under 0.7mm thick . The glass enamel has been fired several times to provide a depth of colour you’ll see a delicate leaf print under the surface of the glass enamel.
